There are a number of ways that you support this work:
Earn Community Service Hours
To earn community hours please donate a Ziploc bag or secondhand, clean pencil cases filled with working, gently used stationery such as pens, pencils, colouring pencils, rulers, erasers, glue etc. New exam pads and exercise books would also be appreciated.
- You will earn one community hour for each bag of stationery donated provided all the contents are in good working condition - minimum 10 items per bag.
Donate a dustbin bag full of unbranded, secondhand school clothing - no school logo's please! Or donate a bag of civvies in good condition. - Earn 1 community hour for each black bag of clothing donated.
Please make a handmade bookmark. Bookmarks should be about 15cm long x 7cm wide and should be made of cardboard and decorated with wrapping paper, stickers, wool or any other creative items that won't damage books. - Earn 1 community hour for each donation of 8 good quality secondhand books with bookmarks. Don’t have any books to donate? No problem, the bookmarks will be just fine.
The box should be wrapped so that it can still be opened to place gifts inside. Shoeboxes with removable lids are preferred. Use wrapping paper, stickers, wool or any other creative items to make your box look lovely. Remember that often these boxes are kept by the recipients and can be as special as the gifts they contain. We use these shoeboxes at Christmas time and keep stock of them. They can be donated at any time of the year. - Earn 1 community hour for 2 wrapped shoe boxes donated.
Donate a previously loved plate, a bowl or cup and cutlery (knife, fork, spoon) plus 2 tins of food. - Earn 1 community hour for each set as described above.
